Association Management Team

The Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada (ChLPS Canada) is supported by a dedicated Association Management Team that works in collaboration with the Board of Directors to advance the Association’s mission, objectives, and professional standards.

Comprised of experienced professionals in association management, administration, education, certification, and member services, the team is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association. Their work includes supporting members, coordinating certification and training programs, managing administrative functions, and ensuring the effective delivery of services across the organization.

Working behind the scenes, the Association Management Team plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence, supporting governance activities, and fostering member engagement across the Association.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada (ChLPS Canada) provides strategic leadership and governance for the Association. Comprised of experienced professionals and industry leaders in loss prevention, corporate security, risk management, and related disciplines, the Board is responsible for guiding the Association’s long-term vision, policies, and strategic priorities.

Working in the best interests of the membership and the profession, the Board oversees governance matters, supports the development of professional standards, and ensures that the Association continues to meet its objectives. Through leadership, oversight, and informed decision-making, the Board helps position ChLPS Canada as a respected professional body dedicated to advancing excellence in loss prevention and corporate security.

Chairman, Board of Directors

Dr. Victoria Nkemdilim Ogbuehi

PhD: MSc; BSc; LLB; MLC; MIS; CBCP; RIMS-CRMP; CMC; PCI; MSyl, CPP@

Dr. Victoria is an ASIS International Board-Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Professional Certified lnvestigator (PCI), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)- DRI International (Disaster Recovery Institute), RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional- RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society), and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) – International Council of Management Consulting Institutes. She has a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security (University of Phoenix), Master’s Degree in Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Science in Economics, and Bachelor of Laws (LLB). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in Counter-Terrorism and Deradicalization.

She has distinguished herself as a globally recognized corporate security professional. She remains the first to have won the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSAs) in all three individual categories. She is currently the ‘’Security Manager of the Year’’ recognized by the Security and Fire Excellence Awards, and the first African to be recognized in that capacity. She a Member of the ASIS 2024 GSX Selection Committee and also a Director of ASIS Professional Standards Board.

An amazon of the corporate security world, Victoria has also distinguished herself as a thorough-bred security professional, with the advantage of gaining experiences from the public service and the diverse roles she has occupied in corporate security. With a robust global presence, she is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most celebrated and decorated security professionals. She is a Certified Member of the Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada.

She has distinct expertise in general security operations, intelligence, investigations, security/enterprise risk management, Incident Management, Crisis Resolution, Business Continuity Management, Leadership of cross-functional teams, and budgeting & financial control, among others. Victoria is a ISO2230 1 :2019 Business Continuity Management Systems Lead Implementer.

She is a great industry volunteer leader with tremendous accomplishments to her credit. Her volunteer experience include: Member GSX 2023 Selection Committee- ASIS International, Director Professional Standards Board- ASIS International (Jan 2021- May 2023), Conference Reviewer 2022 Global Security Exchange- ASIS International, Editorial Board Member- Journal of Criminology & Forensic Studies (JOCFS) (Oct 2018 – Present), Contributing Writer Security Professional Directory (May 2020 – Present), Speaker- Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2021- ASIS International, and Judge- IFSEC Global – Security (Mar 2022- Mar 2022).Victoria is currently the Senior Risk & Resilience Manager- Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company.

Joseph Okpotu

Joseph is an accomplished corporate security, loss prevention, safety and human resources management (HRM) expert. He is a Board-Certified Physical Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and Physical Security Professional (PSP), Triple (CPP, PCI, PSP) of ASIS international and also ASIS President’s award winner, (President challenge 2021). He has over two decades of strategic security, loss prevention, safety operations experience in risk management, comprehensive emergency management (CEM) and investigations. Joe controls crime, using people, technology, hardware and software to maximize return on investments.

A management development trainer and manpower development expert, Joe is a subject matter expert and a go-to person in global security training and certifications. He describes himself as the best in security certifications and education in Africa and the world at large. His key strength is in physical security operations, private investigations, incident and compliance investigation, journey management, executive protections and risk assessment among other things to mitigate against key business risk.

His other competencies include guard force management, security stakeholders’ liaisons, security threat & vulnerability analysis, corporate security education, security awareness, risk assessment. appropriate cost-effective countermeasures, security budgeting & service level agreement management. He is currently the Lead Trainer and Chief Executive Officer with Certifications and Training Consulting.

Joseph holds an Advanced Diploma in Security Operations & Management (ADSOM), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Human Resources Management. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM) and a Certified Member of the Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada.

Adegbenga Koko is an accomplished corporate security, risk, business continuity management, and loss prevention expert, with over 15 years of progressive experience spanning corporate security operations, auditing, regulatory compliance, financial forensics, investigations, and anti-money laundering. As a distinguished trainer, consultant, and thought leader, he is dedicated to shaping the next generation of security and risk professionals through immersive professional education and strategic advisory. Dual-licensed by the Ontario Ministry of the Solicitor General as a security professional and private investigator, he leads the development and delivery of Guardmaster Institute’s cutting-edge professional training and certification programs. He is also an accredited trainer by the CPD Group, UK.

Adegbenga serves as an Accredited Trainer and Faculty Member with the Global Compliance Institute (GCI), Australia, where he delivers specialized professional certification training in anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and regulatory compliance frameworks. His international reputation as a subject matter expert is further strengthened by his exceptional academic and professional accomplishments.
